In post-WWII UK, a secret order of knights needs a notorious female thief to help them recover magical objects before a rival faction bent on world domination. They can unlock her past, but her ability to detect magic is the key to their future.
I was inspired to create Curio because of my background in Museum Studies and my interest in folklore from all over Europe. There are so many unique objects and stories that have never been dramatized in English (or often at all), and a Warehouse 13-type “myth of the week” format would allow for many chances to explore them and wink at the unsung role of women in the preservation of our history using a fun, supernatural adventure framework. At the time Coverfly shut down, Curio was in the top 3% overall.
