WRAP ME IN SHADOWS

(FEATURE)

American students on their semester in Greece are lured to a night of agony and ecstasy by a cult who worship the ancient god of chaos through sex, drugs, and human sacrifice.

Wrap Me in Shadows is a mythological horror feature that lives closer to The Wicker Man and The Ritual than traditional slasher fare. The story follows a group of students whose academic interest in Greek myth collides with real-life consequences when an ancient ritual resurfaces in the modern world.

The script emphasizes atmosphere, character behavior, and inevitability over shock. It speaks directly to a modern audience that often treats ritual, authority, and tradition as symbolic or ironic. The characters believe education and distance protect them. The horror emerges when those assumptions fail. The story reflects a cultural moment where people enter systems they do not fully understand, only realizing the cost once escape is no longer possible. At its center, the script is about refusal. Jaz does not defeat the god. She survives by rejecting the roles offered to her. In a genre that often rewards transformation or submission, this story insists that resistance itself has value, even when it does not restore order or justice.
